• The licence screen shows Lapsed, and what that means, instead of a red Expired.
• New versions are fetched only while the licence is current. Nothing else changes.

The chain scanner now sees loops hidden by a trailing slash or an absolute URL, and a 404 alert that fails to send is retried.

• Chain scanner matches like the redirect engine. Rules were compared as the literal strings you typed, while requests are matched with the trailing slash and query string ignored and an own-site absolute URL reduced to its path. /old -> /new/ alongside /new -> /old loops at request time but the scanner reported nothing, and a chain through https://example.com/new was invisible. Both are now found; the scanner still shows the rules as you wrote them.
• Failed alerts are retried. A 404 alert whose email, webhook and Slack sends all failed was still marked as sent for that URL and never tried again. It is now recorded as sent only when at least one channel delivered it.
• Fuzzy typo correction on subdirectory installs. When this add-on runs its own correction engine (only alongside a free plugin older than 1.0.3), a typo on example.com/blog was scored against paths without the /blog prefix and never reached the confidence threshold. Request and candidate paths are now compared in the same form.

Maintenance: the analytics table now has a retention window; secrets are authenticated at rest.

• Improvement: redirect/404 analytics events are pruned on a retention window (default 1 year) instead of only at uninstall.
• Hardening: authenticated encryption at rest; a stored licence is re-checked for a usable key before trusting the cached result.

Your data now survives uninstall by default.

Uninstalling no longer deletes the plugin's data unless you explicitly opt in first, so removing it to debug — or coming back later — keeps everything intact. Where the plugin has a settings screen you'll find a new "Delete all data on uninstall" option; leave it off to keep your data.

Fuzzy typo correction has moved to the free plugin — every site gets it, and Pro corrections keep counting in your analytics.

With free plugin 1.0.3+, fuzzy typo auto-correction is configured under the free plugin's Settings screen; your existing Pro settings carried over automatically, and corrections continue to appear in the Pro analytics dashboard. Pro keeps running its own engine while the free plugin is older than 1.0.3, so no update ordering can lose the feature. Pro continues to add scheduled and expiring redirects, the analytics dashboard, 404 alerts, filtered exports and retention, and the chain scanner.
