What Dragon Migrate Pro does
One-off migrations are the easy part. Migrate Pro pairs two sites so you can push or pull a database and its media on demand — with a restore point taken before anything is written, and transfers that resume rather than restart when a connection drops.
Database Push and Pull
Send this site's database to a paired site, or bring a paired site's database into this one
Media and File Sync
Transfer the uploads, themes and plugins the other site does not already have, compared by size and checksum so nothing is sent twice
Signed Transport
Every request is HMAC-SHA256 signed over the method, path, timestamp, nonce and body, with replay protection
Preflight Checks
Versions, table prefixes, disk space and writability are checked before anything is written
Automatic Rollback Point
The receiving site takes a restore point first, and the transfer stops rather than proceeding if it cannot be created
Resumable Transfers
Per-chunk checksums, retry with backoff, and a cursor that survives a closed browser tab
Scheduled Syncs
Run a pull or a file sync on a schedule, with an email only when one fails
